• We exist to love God, to love people, and to bring the two together. Matthew 22:37-39
• Love God - Love People - Serving Both in Christ
• After the resurrection, before He ascended into heaven, Jesus said:

• That we’re to first and foremost LOVE GOD.
• That we’re to put a premium on LOVING PEOPLE.
• And that we have to make sure we BRING THE TWO TOGETHER.

That’s why SCC will focus on Loving God & Loving People & Bring the 2 Together.

With that in mind, I want to share with you TEN VALUES that will define who we are.

1. Biblical Truth: God said it; we teach it. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16
2. Cultural Relevance: Ancient truths with up-to-date application. “I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.” 1 Corinthians 9:22b
3. Fervent Prayer: As we get real with God, He hears and answers. “Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2
4. Dynamic Worship: Powerful music; practical teaching. “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 Acts 2:46-47 , “Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, [47] praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.”
5. Authentic Community: We do life together in small groups. “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. All the believers were together and had everything in common.” Acts 2:42, 44
6. Intentional Evangelism: God changed us; we share that with others. “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
7. Strategic Service: We serve because Jesus did; love is a verb. “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
8. Global Missions: We go where God leads; we support others who go. “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Matthew 28:19-20a
9. Programming Excellence: God deserves our very best. “In every way make the teaching about God our Savior attractive.” Titus 2:10b
10. All People: Jesus is all about people, so we are too. “Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God.” 1 John 4:7a
