Worship Ministry
“Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” -Psalm 34:3
When this body of believers meets together, our first priority is to magnify the Lord and praise Him for the wonderful things He has done, remembering Jesus’ death on the cross and His resurrection.
Both the 9:30 am and 11:00 am services are identical. During each time, we will sing songs together, take communion and hear a message from God’s word.
Currently, our contemporary worship services are modeled after Isaiah’s vision of the Throne Room found in Isaiah chapter 6.
Our worship reminds us that we serve a God who spoke the earth, the stars and the universe into existence. We always begin our services with songs that praise God for His power, His loving and merciful character, His creative works and the redemption found in the work of Jesus Christ. In doing so, God becomes greater in our eyes. Not that God actually changes, but our perspective changes when we worship God.
As our song service progresses we sing songs of confession and songs of assurance. In a painful contrast, when we see God’s greatness, we are reminded of just how sinful we are and that we are in need of forgiveness. While we confess our brokenness and dependence upon God, we can rejoice that God has paid our sins in full with Jesus’ atoning work on the cross.
