Director/Kindergarten Teacher - Sara Griesser 

I am excited to have your family join our church on your education journey.  Let me take a moment to introduce myself.  My name is Sara Griesser and the elders of the church have appointed me as the Director of Spencer Christian School.  My husband, Kevin, and I have two little boys, Ethan who is 5 and Elijah who is 3 and Eve who is 1 1/2!  My Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Education are from Johnson Bible College, in Knoxville, TN.  I taught in the public school system in KY for 5 years, before Ethan was born.  Beginning a Christian school has been a dream of mine for over 10 years, and I am so blessed to be realizing that dream so early in my life.  
 

Preschool  Teacher -  Betty Hahn

I am returning this year to the preschool as a teacher in the Mighty Ducks classroom!  I taught a class of four year olds for 15 years in Illinois at a church school. Then my husband Randy took a job at Kentucky State University so we moved to Kentucky. We now live in Shelbyville. Randy and I have five grown children.  We also have four grandsons!  I want to thank you in advance for giving me the opportunity to enjoy your children.  I am eager to meet each child and their parents. I will be available to talk or just listen most anytime and I will be praying for your child and his or her family!!!

Preschool  Teacher - Peggie Peterson

My name is Peggie Peterson and I have been involved in Early Childhood education/ministry for more than 20 years!  I married my high school sweetheart almost 3 decades ago and we have 3 children - all in their 20’s. (Adam, Katie and Jake)  Katie and Jake still live at home and attend Sullivan University and UK.  Adam is married and lives in Shelbyville, KY.    My family has lived in Northeast Jefferson County for 12 years.  I grew up near Chicago and after we married Eric became an Engineer with Hormel Foods and we lived in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota before he took a new job with what is now YUM Brands, Inc..  Coming to Louisville was such a God inspired thing for my entire family!  I attended Blackhawk Technical College in Janesville, Wisconsin and earned my Associate degree in Early Childhood Education.  I have taught and directed ministry programs as well as preschool programs.  I also homeschooled our children the last two years we lived in Minnesota.  I have a passion to teach as well as lead and inspire children to know and love Jesus the way I do!  I always consider it a privilege to be allowed to have such an influence in forming their little hearts and minds. 

Preschool Teacher - Mindy Druin

My name is Mindy Druin and I am humbled and blessed to be teaching the three year old class of Spencer Christian Preschool.  My husband, Jeremy, and I have a beautiful daughter named Sydney.  She too will be starting Kindergarten this fall.  I graduated from the University Of Pittsburgh with a bachelors degree in Arts and Science.  For the past four years I have been a stay at home mom.  We have not lived in Taylorsville very long but we have all fallen in love with the community here.  This will be my second year teaching at Spencer Christian School.  I look forward to a year of learning and growing.
